About the Project

In the fast pace of day to day life it is easy to forget to slow down. I know I can get overwhelmed by getting stuck in my worries and forgetting what inspires me to move forward. The pit of stresses loves to steal our peace and hope. The Exhale Project gives people the opportunity to reset and take back a bit of their mindset. I’ve been handing out prompts with two questions on them. What is worrying you or stressing you out right now? What’s giving you hope or inspiring you at the moment? The responses I’ve gotten have been as simple as,” FILL WITH QUOTE “ to as deep as, “ FILL WITH QUOTE.” I’m collecting all of their handwritten responses and turning them into an origami crane installation. The base of the piece will be a form that I like to call the Lotus Vessel. It’ll have portraits of people breathing out in the middle of the shot.

It is so inportent to recognize what is weighing on us and remember the ways we enjoy living on this big blue planet.

I Need Your Help!

If you want to keep it simple, you only need to answer two questions. What things are worrying you or giving you stress right now? What inspires you or gives you hope?
